Chennai, September 17, 2018: Ola, India’s leading and one of the world’s largest ridesharing companies, has entered into a strategic alliance with Chennai international airport to extend its range of mobility offering to commuters, through designated Ola Zones and kiosks.

Through this partnership, passengers at the Chennai International Airport will now be able to also book a cab with the assistance of Ola representatives stationed at Ola kiosks set up outside domestic and international arrival terminals. Ola kiosks will enable uninterrupted access to mobility, and a convenient booking experience for commuters even without a smartphone or Ola app. Additionally, Ola Zones have also been set up providing dedicated parking to cabs thereby helping in easing the parking and traffic issue at the stations. Ensuring customer convenience, these zones will work as dedicated pick and drop points and will bring down the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) of cabs to as low as 2 minutes.

Vishnu Bommareddy, Regional Head – South at Ola said, “We are honoured to be chosen as the exclusive partners in the ridesharing space at the Chennai International Airport, and assure a hassle free mobility experience for millions of passengers. This partnership is sure to add convenience, accessibility and reliability to the lives of millions of passengers moving in and out of the city. Dedicated kiosks and zones will assist passengers in booking cabs easily and will also help them in locating their cabs conveniently. This partnership reaffirms our commitment towards building first and last mile connectivity solutions and making mobility seamless for millions of air commuters.”

With this partnership, the passengers will get access to Ola’s best quality hatchbacks and sedans that come with highly rated, experienced drivers. Ola’s in-app features and programs ensure a safe and convenient mobility experience for its customers. The app is equipped with an Emergency button, LIVE GPS tracking to share ride information, mobile number masking, and feedback on ride quality with ratings on ride completion, amongst other features. All of this enables a consistent experience for users. In case of an emergency, customers can also, reach out to Ola’s 24×7 helpline, directly from the app.

This partnership comes under Ola’s strategic alliance with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) to extend its range of mobility offering to commuters, at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata, Pune International Airport, and Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow, in addition to the Chennai International Airport.
