Hyderabad, December 13, 2017: Ola, India’s most popular app for transportation, today announced a strategic partnership with Larsen & Toubro Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL). The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently and has received overwhelming response from the commuters. With Ola coming on-board as its mobility partner, the overall experience of the commuters will improve drastically with seamless first and last mile connectivity and inclusive payment solutions.

Under the partnership, TSavaari, the official Hyderabad Metro Rail app has integrated Ola’s services including Ola Money (one of India’s largest mobile wallets). The integration will allow LTHMRL commuters to recharge their metro smart cards directly from the Ola Money app. Commuters will also have an option to pay from their Ola Money wallet on the TSavaari app. Additionally, users will be able to book an Ola cab or Ola Auto directly from their TSavaari apps.

The partnership will also enable on-ground integration as commuters will now be able to book a cab with the assistance of Ola representatives stationed at Ola Kiosks within the station premises. Further, Ola Zones will also help in easing the parking issues as cabs will now be allocated dedicated parking spots near or within the station premises. Ola Zones will work as dedicated pick up and drop off points for customers, enabling ETAs (Expected Time of Arrival) as low as 2 minutes.

Saurabh Mishra, Director – Alliances at Ola said, “The Hyderabad Metro Project will add muscle to the city’s transportation infrastructure and we are proud to lend our support by integrating our various services online as well as on-ground. Over the last year, we have been integrating our smart mobility solutions with public utilities like railway stations, airports and metro stations. This partnership further reaffirms our commitment towards building first and last mile connectivity solutions and making mobility simpler, convenient and seamless for hundreds of thousands of Hyderabad Metro commuters.”

Anil Kumar Saini, Chief Operating Officer, LTHMRL said, “The inauguration of 30 kms of Hyderabad metro rail from Nagole to Miyapur has been successful with the ridership reaching a record 2.4 lakhs recently. We are happy to collaborate with Ola as our mobility partner, now commuters will have uninterrupted connectivity to and from the metro stations.”

With this partnership, Metro passengers will get access to Ola’s best quality hatchbacks and sedans, driven by top rated driver-partners. Ola’s in-app safety features and programs (SOS button, LIVE GPS tracking to share ride information, mobile number masking) ensure a safe and convenient mobility experience for its customers.

Ola had recently partnered with Rapid Metro Gurgaon, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited to equip key metro stations with dedicated Ola Kiosks. Earlier this year, Ola announced a similar partnership with Ajmer Junction Railway Division, South Western Railway and Kempegowda International Airport, ensuring a seamless on–road travel experience for customers and driver partners alike. The company aims to replicate this model with other key public utility spaces across the country.
