Ola launches ‘Heroes of Share’; a multi-city drive to celebrate flag bearers of shared mobility

Ola Share marches on with #FarakPadtaHai campaign to address the issues of traffic congestion and vehicular pollution

3rd August, 2017: As part of its continued efforts towards raising awareness for shared mobility, Ola announced and felicitated top users of the Share category in a multi-city campaign, ‘Heroes of Share’, rolled out in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. The top users in each city were felicitated with a host of gifts including free subscription to Ola Share Pass, prepaid Ola Share rides, goodies, and an entry into Ola’s exclusive ‘Heroes of Share’ club.

As part of Ola’s year-long initiative – #FarakPadtaHai, this campaign will eventually expand to various Ola Share cities, recognising and acknowledging commuters who are championing the cause of sustainable mobility.

Clocking the maximum number of shared rides, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR have emerged as top markets for Ola Share. Within the previous month, the winners among Bengaluru’s Share users have collectively saved 131.56 litres of fuel and 222.64 kgs of carbon emissions in the city, while Delhi’s Heroes of Share saved 123.3 litres of fuel and 208.65 kgs of carbon emissions and Mumbai’s Share winners saved 121.55 litres of fuel and 205.7 kgs of carbon emissions. These savings have effectively contributed towards solving the growing issues of traffic congestion and vehicular pollution in the city.
