Pocket Aces Partners with Ola’s Connected Ridesharing Platform, Ola Play

31st March 2017, Mumbai: Pocket Aces, one of the country’s leading digital entertainment companies running channels FilterCopy, Dice Media and Gobble, has partnered with Ola, India’s most popular mobile app for transportation, to provide a wide range of digital content to Ola’s connected ridesharing platform, Ola Play. The premium content from Pocket Aces will include short videos from their flagship channel FilterCopy, hugely popular web series Little Things and Not Fit from Dice Media, and food videos from Gobble. Not Fit was also the first web series to play on television – it did three successful runs on NDTV Prime earlier this year.

Pocket Aces is the creator of some of the most popular content for Indian audiences on the internet today. The company reaches 25 million people on a weekly basis across its social properties, and the most recent report by video analytics firm Vidooly states that FilterCopy amassed over 29 million video views in the month of February alone.

Talking about the partnership, Aditi Shrivastava, Co-Founder, Pocket Aces said, “We’re excited to be an early partner with Ola Play and enable audiences to consume high quality content on-the-go without exhausting their data plans. Our goal is to give our content and our brand partners as much reach as possible, and are in conversations with several global OTT players and television channels to syndicate our content. ”

Ankit Jain, Sr. Director & Head Ola Play said, “As the world’s first connected car platform, Ola Play has emerged as a lucrative platform to showcase potential for many. The possibilities that Play offers allows us to discover and aggregate content as music, web series, discover apps and much more to be made available to customers at the push of a button. We are extremely excited to partner with Pocket Aces to enable Ola Play users’ access to high quality content.”

Ola Play, launched in November 2016, has transformed the in-cab experience for tens of thousands of Indian consumers by bringing advance car controls, choice of personalized content and a fully connected interactive experience, to the backseat of the cab. Beyond offering a highly personal experience for users during their rides, Ola Play also allows partners such as Apple Music, Sony LIV, AIB, TVF, Audio Compass and Fynd, to build a high quality interactive experience for users. It is available to all Prime Play customers in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi and now in Hyderabad and will soon be rolled out to all Ola’s offerings in Tier 1 cities.
